Documentation of our July 02/03 2022 workshop
Introduction
On July 2 and 3, we collected seeds and cuttings, some with roots or aerial roots, and planted them on structures that we assembled from freshly cut green bamboo.

Participants from left to right: Jonathan (director of Lancetilla), José (gardener at Lancetilla), Soroush, Jean, plus Felix (taking the picture)

Trees
Trees are named according to the time about when we discovered them. Not all trees have been identified by species.

On that day we were by ourselves, with tools borrowed from the garden. In the morning, we walked around in the touristic part of the garden. Using two GoPros brought by Jean, we took pictures for photogrammetry of some trees.

Notes
- Jonathan mentioned the ámate arbol, a tree that – according to him – can be found in old British colonial towns, which had a park in the center. (By comparison, the Spanish colonial towns were designed with a stone square in the center.)
- Seeds should germinate in about 14 days.
- See photogrammetry data by Soroush and Jean.
- See also handwritten notes by Felix
Designing a structure
- Ideally: natural growth with minimum intervention
- Consider integrating bats, i.e. making it attractive to them
